(Gawsworth, co. Chester, bart., extinct, 1643. Founded by Sir Richard Fytton, Knt., temp. Henry II. Thomas Fitton, second son of Edmond Fitton, of Bolyn, living 1335, m. Isabel Orreby, of Gawsworth. Sir Edward Fitton, Knt., of Gawsworth, was Lord President of Connaught and Thomond, and Treasurer of Ireland; his eldest son was father of the first bart.; his second son, Alexander Fitton, settled in Ireland).
