Kent, and of Buckingham Street, Strand, Sheriff of London and Middlesex 1826-7, son of William Winchester, of Maiden, co. Surrey). Or, on a cross az. quarter pierced of the field betw. four mascles gu. as many crosses crosslet fitchee ar. a canton of the second charged with two swords in saltire points upwards ppr. pommels and hilts of the first, encircled by a double chain gold. Crest—In front of a cross
crosslet fitchee or, a lion pass. az. the dexter forepaw supporting a mascle, as in the arms, and from the mouth pendent a double chain gold.”
2) (granted to the other descendants of the last named William Winchester, of Maiden). Same Arms, without the charges on the canton. Crest—Same as the last, without the chain in the mouth.
