(Exeter, co. Devon, granted 1690; the last male heir, Charles Bidoood, Esq., of Rockbeare, d. in 1813; his sister, Dorothy, m. John Rose Drewe, Esq., of Grange). Ar. on a chief engr. az. a tortoise or. Crest—A dexter hand erect in armour or, holding an adder ppr.

(Henry Fishes Bidgood, formerly Stone, of Rockbeare Court, co. Devon, Esq., by royal sign manual, 5 Nov. 1822, assumed the surname and arms of Bidgood). The same Arms as Bidgood of Exeter, with a canton erm. for distinction; and the same Crest, charged with a cross crosslet gu.
