(Rushton, co. Northampton, Elmesthorpe, co. Leicester, &c.. Lord Mayor of London, 1619; descended from Sir John Cokayne, of Ashbourne, co. Derby, temp. Henry VI., and Isabel, dau. of Sir Hugh Shirley, Knt.). Arms—As the preceding. Crest—A cock’s head erased gu., beaked, crested, and jelloped sa.

(Viscounts Cullen, in Ireland, 1642 to 1810; descended from Sir William Cokayne, above­named). Arms and Crest as the preceding. Supporters— Dexter, a lion guard. party per fesse or and ar.; sinister, an ostrich ar. holding in his beak a horseshoe ppr. Motto—Virtus in arduis.
