Domville Coat of Arms / Family Crest

(Rev. Benjamin Barrington, vicar of St. Anne’s, Dublin, son of Benjamin Barrington, Esq., by Margaret Domville, his wife, dau. of Sir William Domville, Knt., of Dublin, assumed the name of Domville in pursuance of the will of his maternal uncle, William Domville, Esq., of Leighlinstown, and had the following armorial bearings marshalled and entered in Ulster’s Office, 11 May, 1769). Quarterly, 1st and 4th, az. a lion ramp. ar. collared gu., for Domville; 2nd and 3rd, ar. three chevronels, and in chief a label of three points gu., for Barrington. Crest—A Saracen’s head affrontee couped at the neck and wreathed around the temples, with laurel all ppr. Motto—Ung dorant ma vie.
