Quarterly, 1st and 4th, gu. on a saltire ar. betw. four fleurs-de-lis or, a crescent az., for Fair; 2nd and 3rd, ar. a stag trippant ppr. on a chief engr. az. three estoiles wavy or, for Ruttledge. Crests—1st, Fair: On a mount vert a dove with an olive branch in its beak and a trefoil or, on its breast, all ppr.; 2nd, Ruttledge: An oak tree ppr. pendent from a dexter branch thereof by a riband az. an escutcheon or. Motto—Verax atque probus.
