Quarterly, 1st and 4th, per lesse ar. and sa. a fesse embattled betw. three falcons belled all counterchanged, for Thompson; 2nd and 3rd, ar. a cross formée throughout chequy sa. and or, for Lawley. Crests —1st: An arm embowed, quarterly or and az. gauntleted ppr. grasping the truncheon of a tilting spear or, for Thompson; 2nd: A wolf statant sa., for Lawley. Supporters—On either side a wolf sa. gorged with a plain collar or, pendent therefrom an escutcheon ar. charged with a chev. of the first betw. three Moors’ heads opposite ppr. Motto—Je veux de bonne guerre.
