(Middleton Castle, co. York; impalement Fun. Ent. Ulster’s Office, 1680, Edward Loftus, Viscount Loftus, of Elge, whose wife was Jane, dau. and co-heir of John Lindley, Esq.). Ar. on a chief sa. three griffins’ heads erased of the first.
