(Glasgow, 1761). Quarterly, 1st and 4th, ar. in a sea a ship in full sail ppr.; 2nd, gu. a close helmet ar.; 3rd, az. an anchor in pale or, charged with a cross crosslet fitchee sa. Crest—A demi negro holding a sugar cane over the dexter shoulder, and in the sinister hand a bunch of tobacco leaves all ppr. Motto—Labor omnia vincit.
