(Baron Multon, of Gillesland; barony passed to Dacre; Thomas de Multon, descended from Thomas de Multon, feudal Baron of Multon, temp. King John and Henry III., ancestor of the Barons Multon, of Egremont, was summoned to Parliament 1307, d. 1313, leaving an only dau. and heir, Margaret Multon, vi. Ranulph, Lord Dacre, of the North).
