(a Sept residing in Thomond, co. Clare; Teige O’Kearin was buried at Ennis in that co. 1634. He was sixth in descent from Dermot O’Kearin, who first settled there. Thomas Kearin or Keiban, Alderman of Dublin, had a grant of Ballymore, Ferns, &c., co. Wexford, and d. 1694, leaving his estate to his nephew, Mortogh Donovan, eldest son of Rickard Donovan, Esq., of Clonmore, in same co., hy Bridget Keiran, sister of Alderman Keiran, whose descendant, Richard Donovan, Esq., of Ballymore, D.L., possesses the estate). Vert on a chev ar. three leopards’ faces gu. Crest—A demi lion ramp. sa. holding in the dexter paw a sword erect ar. pommel anti hilt or. Motto—Fidens et constans.
