(Tangier Park, co. Hants, and Hoddington House, same co.; William Lutles Sclater was son of Rev. Bartholomew Lutlet Sclater, Rector of Whittingham, co. Northumberland, and grandson of Richard Sclater, Esq., of London). Quarterly, 1st and 4th, ar. a saltire az., for Sclater; 2nd, gu. a fess betw. eight billets or, for May; 3rd, erm. on a fess cotised sa. three crescents or, for Bristow. Crest—Out of a ducal coronet or, an eagle rising wings displ. sa. Motto—(Except in the Cross).

(Newick Park, co. Sussex). Ar. a saltire az. Crest—An eagle sa. rising out of a ducal coronet or.

(co. Cambridge). Ar. a saltire az. Crest—A hunting horn ppr. stringed or.

(London. Visit. London, 1668). Same Arms.

(Catley Park, co. Cambridge, bart., extinct 1634; Thomas Sclater, Esq., High Sheriff of that co., purchased estates there and was created a bart. 1660, d. s. p., and bequeathed his estates to his grandnephew, M.P. co. Cambridge, who afterwards assumed the name of Bacon). Ar. a saltire sa.
