(Norton Hall, co. Derby; descended from John Shore, Esq., of Sheffield, whose grandson, Samuel Shore, purchased the estate of Mearsbrook, and d. in 1785; his son and heir, Samuel Shore. Esq., of Mearsbrook, m. Urith, dau. of Joseph Offley Esq., of Norton Hall, and sister and co-heir of Edward Offley, Esq., of Norton Hall).
