Lancaster, and d. 1608; his great-grandson, Robert Peel, Esq., of Peele Fold, had seven sons, viz.: 1) William, ancestor of Peel, of Peele Fold and Trenant Park, and Peel, of Taliaris; 2) Edmund, left two daus. co-heirs; 3) Sir Robert, of Drayton Manor, created a bart. 1800; 4) Jonathan, ancestor of Peel, of Accrington and Knowlmere; 5) Lawrence, ancestor of Peel, of Stone Hall and Aylesmore; 6) Joseph, of Bowes, near London; 7) John, of Burton-on-Trent, co.
