2) (Lockington, co. Leicester). Ar. a chev. embattled betw. three battle-axes sa. Crest—A goat sa. horned and unguled ar. around his neck a collar of the same standing on a hill vert. These Arms were confirmed and the Crest granted in 1583, by Flower, Norroy, to William Bainbridge, of Lockington, descended from the ancient family of the Baynbrigges, of the North.
